'Happy Cows and a Luxury Taste'
Angus Dalton, Daltons Dairy, Ashbourne, Derbyshire

Angus Dalton, along with his wife Sue, started off their dairy farming business with 10 cows and 20 acres on a County Council farm in Montgomeryshire. They then progressed through the Council farm system moving onto another unit and began to build cows numbers.  In 2002 they were successful in obtaining a private tenancy of 550 Acres at Shawcroft Farm, Wooton near Ashbourne, Derbyshire. The farm has 500 cows which are block calved in the spring and milked once a day.   In 2016 along with the help of son Henry and daughter Rosie they started Daltons Dairy, an additional business making handmade ice cream. This is distributed to a wide number of outlets across the area.
