Dorset Grassland Society - 'All Winter Grazing'

Dorset Grassland Society - 'All Winter Grazing'

The first Dorset GS meeting of the season will be held on the 10th October at Kingston Maurward College, meetings will start this season at 7.30pm prompt.

Michael Miller will be discussing ‘All Winter Grazing’: how everyone can get more from grass and extend their grazing season.

Michael farms in Wolland and has over 1000 commercial ewes, an expanding flock of New Zealand Pedigree Suffolks, as well as a small suckler herd to aid grassland management.

He has travelled extensively in search of a system where sheep and beef farms (as well as dairy) can make more profit through forage utilisation.

For further details contact the Dorset GS Secretary Claire Chippindale.
