Dorset GS evening meeting

Dorset GS evening meeting

Dorset Grassland Society

Kingston Maurward College, Dorchester

Followed by talk from Will Hyde (Dorset County Show Secretary and RASC)

Join us to hear Will speak about the Show, his work as a Trustee on the Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth and other topical subjects.  Will's background is in farm management, both practical and in a consultancy role.  However, his current employment is the Secretary of Dorset County Show.

Away from the Show Will commentates in livestock sections at 5 other shows in the south west, and is a trustee of the Royal Agricultural Society of the Commonwealth.  His work with the RASC has enabled him to travel to many countries including New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, India, Zambia and Canada to name a few.

Will's family have farmed at Wool for over 180 years where they helped to develop the Dorset Down breed of sheep.  The family are proud to farm the oldest and largest flock of Dorset Down sheep in the world and Will has recently established his own satellite flock under the Oathill prefix.
