DISCUSSION TRIP TO ISLE OF WIGHT – ITINERARY

TUESDAY 22 OCTOBER
9.30 am: Check in Wightlink car ferry terminal, Undershore Road, Lymington, SO41 5SB for 10.00 am ferry
10.30 am: Arrive Yarmouth, Isle of Wight

11.00 am: Visit to Andrew Hodgson, Cheverton Farm, Shorwell, PO30 3JE, www.chevertonfarm.co.uk.  Lamb, beef and arable farm, newly opened butchery trading as Isle of Wight Meat Co.

1.30 pm: Buffet lunch at farm café, Briddlesford Lodge Farm, Briddlesford Road, Wootton, PO33 4RY, followed by visit to Briddlesford Lodge Farm - 140 Guernsey cows, milk processed on site producing range of milk, cream, butter and cheese

5.00 pm: Check in Travelodge, Lugley Street, Newport, PO30 5ET
7.00 pm:  Dinner at Chequers Inn, Rookley

WEDNESDAY 23 OCTOBER
9.00 am:  Breakfast, check out of Travelodge

10.30 am:  Visit to Matt Legg, Wroxall Cross Farm, Manor Road, Wroxall, PO38 3DF, www.mottistonefold.co.uk.  950 acre grassland farm, home of the Mottistone Fold of Highland cattle used for conservation grazing, pedigree sales and beef.  Matt is stockman for owner Michael Poland, former master of Isle of Wight Hunt

1.00 pm:  Call in at Wight Mouse Inn, Chale for lunch if wanted

2.30 pm:  Visit to Paul and Mary Bradley, Crockers Farm, Cowes Road, Newport, PO30 5TP.  Milking 150 high yielding pedigree Holsteins, embryo transfers, small herd of pedigree Herefords, selling dairy and beef bulls.

5.30 pm:  Check in Wightlink car ferry terminal, Yarmouth, Quay Street, PO41 0PB for 6.00 pm ferry.  Arrive Lymington 6.30 pm
