Grassland & Clover management

23 September - Forres, Morayshire
The technical session in the morning will include presentations from James Bretherton (11 August) Gavin Hill (23 September) David Younie & SGRPID.
Topics to be covered include grassland productivity, utilization & optimum stocking rates, choice of grass & clover species, establishment, nutrient management & weed control. Funding options under SRDP/LMO will also be covered. The Dumfries event will include a visit to Beyond the Burn, courtesy of the Lochhead Family, while the Morayshire event will include a visit to Ellands Farm, courtesy of Mr Will Downie. Farm visits offer the opportunity to discuss how these principles can be put into practice.
The cost is £40 plus VAT. Land managers, farmers and agents working in the Cairngorms National Park may be eligible for up to 50% support of the cost of the Forres event from Cairngorms National Park Authority.
