ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 

The SIXTY-SEVENTH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING of the British Grassland Society will be held at the Tiverton Hotel, Tiverton, Devon on Sunday 3rd July, 2011, at 8pm.

 AGENDA

  • 1. Minutes of the Sixty-sixth Annual General Meeting held at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh on 4th July 2010 (minutes available here or via the BGS office).
  • 2. Matters arising
  • 3. Report from the Trustees (contained within the summary of the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2010 available here or via the BGS office).
  • 4. Financial Report
  • 5. Subscription rates and benefits for members and local societies
  • 6. Constitution - no amendments are proposed by Council
  • 7. President's Report
  • 8. Director's Report on ongoing development of the Society
  • 9. Election of Officers and Members of Council - Trustee positions

Nominations for all positions on Council can be submitted in writing to the BGS office up to one week before the AGM or by a member in person at the AGM.

* President elect (Council nomination will be announced at the AGM)

* Hon Treasurer (Council nominates current Hon Treasurer, Mark Rutter)

* Hon Sec (Council nominates current Hon Sec, Lois Philipps)

* One National member (4-year term) 

  • 10. Election of Regional Representative-Elects - non-trustee advisers to Council who spend one year as Rep-Elect before a two year term on Council.

* Central region 

  • 11. Handover of office to incoming President Mr John Downes 

The meeting will then be opened for general discussion and comments from the membership. Members not attending are invited to submit comments by post.
