BGS Grassland Competition Winner's host farm walks

Thursday, May 15, 2014

The British Grassland Society is pleased to announce that we will be hosting two open days in June, celebrating excellence in grassland management.

Andrew Owen of Pantygwiail Farm, Lampeter, won the Welsh Grassland competition and was a finalist in the BGS ‘UK Grassland Farmer of the Year’ competition in 2013. Andrew and family will host an open day in aid of the Wales Air Ambulance on Thursday 12th June.

The following week sees an open day courtesy of Mathew Venables, Pigeon House Farm, Chester, winner of the BGS ‘UK Grassland Farmer of the Year’ competition. The farm walk will take place on Thursday 19th June, courtesy of Mathew and competition sponsors GrowHow and DLF Trifolium.

We hope to see you at one or both of these events, where you will have the opportunity to see two of the best grassland farmers operating in the country.

Both events are free to attend. Registration is essential to ensure you receive your free lunch.
