The BGS 12th Research Conference is a great opportunity for everyone with an interest in grassland to interact with colleagues and present their work on topics including agriculture, ecology, ecosystem services, conservation and biodiversity, microbiology, geology and other grass and forage based areas.

Conference Highlights

Invited speakers and conference dinner. On Tuesday afternoon there will be a choice of three technical tours:

  • BGS UK Grassland Farmer of the Year 2014 winner Dafydd Jones, Maesllwyni, Penegoes
  • Pwllpeiran Upland Research Platform
  • Science activities at IBERS Gogerddan

Call for offered papers

Abstracts for oral and poster communications are invited and should be submitted as a word document of no more than 2 A4 pages to bgsoffice@britishgrassland.com by Friday 26th June. Guidelines for the preparation of abstracts are provided here (open Misc publications at the bottom of the page).

Registration

Reduced rate conference fee is £190 for BGS members, not including accommodation. Discounts are available for students. There are also a number of free student registrations awarded by the BGS presidential team by submitting an explaination of why you would like to attend (max 150 words), by e-mail to bgsoffice@britishgrassland.com
