Don’t delay, book for the BGS Summer Meeting today

The British Grassland Society’s (BGS) premier event of the year is fast approaching. This year the Summer Meeting will be hosted by Cornwall Grassland Society 12th – 15th July. With a diverse line-up of farm and technical visits plus entertainment and the annual BGS Gala Dinner it’s set to be one not to miss out on.

Technical Tour

Eight technical visits in total across three days taking your across the farming landscape of Cornwall from Moor to cost. Visits comprise five dairy enterprises, three beef and two sheep enterprises plus new facilities for agricultural research, education and training at Duchy College.

Alternative Tour

Choose to take in some site-seeing, or as an alternative itinerary for a partner. Destinations include; Lanhydrock House, idyllic Mevagissy, Padstow lobster hatchery and Camel Valley vineyard.

Booking and Tickets

Tickets for full-delegates (accommodation and catering included) start at £320 for BGS members or £380 for non-members.

Day tickets start at £10 for students or Young Farmers, rising to £25 for non-members.

There are a number of evening events also open for booking, including an on-farm hog-roast and sea shanty signers and the Annual Gala dinner held at the Lanhydrock hotel and Golf Club with a key note speech from dairy farmer and Nuffield scholar Julian Ellis.
