These EBLEX-DairyCo produced videos from the EGF in Aberystwyth earlier this year are well worth a viewing.

“The Recommended Varieties List is applicable to low nitrogen input farming as well as conventional”.

2) Breeding grass and clover varieties for improved soil structure (Dr. Mike Humphreys, IBERS)

“The SUREROOT Project is breeding hybrid festulolium grasses that halve the amount of run-off compared to perennial ryegrass”.

3) Developing nitrogen sensors for real-time field nitrogen sampling (Rory Shaw, Bangor University)

“Improving the accuracy of N application via in-field sensors is a bonus for both the farmer and the environment”.
