Grassland Management Learning Tool Workshop

Grassland Management Learning Tool Workshop

Thursday, January 16, 2020

A project (funded by NERC/SARIC) is developing a Grassland Management Learning Tool and is holding two workshops in February to demonstrate the tool and solicit feedback. The workshops are aimed at consultants, advisers and interested farmers who want to improve grassland management and planning.

These workshops demonstrate a grassland tool developed from models by Rothamsted Research and Cranfield University. They will be a hands-on session to give potential users a chance to test out the tools and provide feedback to the developers. Using local weather data, participants can examine the effect of different cutting regimes on green leaf and total dry matter yield, as well other parameters of interest to them.

Rothamsted Research, North Wyke, Okehampton on Friday 14 February.  For more details and to book a place at this wworkshop, click here.

University of Nottingham, Sutton Bonington Campus on Friday 28 February.  For more details and to book a place at this workshop, click here.
