Innovation and Technology Fellowships Deadline Approaching

Innovation and Technology Fellowships Deadline Approaching

Tuesday, November 15, 2016

There’s only a couple of weeks left to get your applications in for the first tranche of Stapledon Innovation and Technology Fellowships. The deadline for the awards, worth up to £3,000 for travel and study related to identifying and developing innovative practices within the grass and forage sector, is 30 November 2016.

These fellowships are for people working within the industry, and are targeted at farmers. The Trust recognises that innovation must rise out of the industry itself and cannot rely solely on research. Identifying and developing innovative practices which people may already be encountering within their work is an important and practical way of helping the sector to develop sustainably.

Up to £3000 is available per award. Successful applicants will be required to help communicate their new knowledge to others, for example through an article or presentations.

Examples of study areas that the Fellowships could support include: Novel arrangements for cooperation and marketing of produce; techniques for improved management of grazing, forage crops or silage; improved integration of agricultural and environmental and animal welfare objectives and ways to improve profitability.

Next deadline for application 30 November 2016.
