BGS-DairyCo-Eblex join forces to deliver a topical seminar programme at Grassland UK.

On 7th May the much respected one-day triennial show returns to the Bath and West showground. It looks to cover every aspect of the farmer's interests, from seeds to feeds, machinery demonstrations, technical advice, clamp demonstrations and trade stands from all sectors of the industry. BGS, DairyCo and Eblex have pulled together a diverse programme of technical seminars which will run in 30 minute slots throughout the day.

Relevant topics

You will find the seminars relevant whether you are a farmer, adviser or have a keen interest in grassland management. Charlotte Evans, Technical Project Manager at BGS explains; “we’ve thought about what’s influencing the industry at present, what’s pertinent to business success and what grassland farmers need to know now. As a result we’ve included seminars on aspects as diverse as Getting to grips with CAP, Weed Control Legislation and how to Reduce Feed Costs through better Silage Management and utilising Home-grown Protein sources.”

Expert speakers

We’ve searched our networks to find the right speakers, giving you the chance to hear from experts in their field. “The line-up includes researchers at the forefront of investigations and technical specialists with years of practical experience and knowledge to draw on. In many cases this is a rare opportunity to hear from specialists tackling the issues that matter in profitable grassland management today” says Dr Debbie McConnell, DairyCo Research and Development Manager.

It’s easy to get more

You can find the seminars right next to the Forage Café. There is no additional charge to attend. They offer Basis, DairyPro and NRoSo* points (*where relevant) for those of you registered on these schemes. Dr. Liz Genever, Eblex Livestock Specialist encourages dropping in; “there is so much you can get from attending a trade show such as Grassland UK, but you’ve got to make it count towards your business. These seminars offer impartial advice and great take-home tips that will help you benefit your business in 2015 and beyond”.

The seminars will start at 10.00am and run in 30 minute sessions until 4.00pm. A programme can be picked-up at the entrance gates or at the Forage Café (Joint BGS-DairyCo-Eblex Stand). The 30 minute slots will comprise a short presentation followed by Q&A.
