Making the Cut - Silage day 2013

Friday, February 15, 2013

BGS is excited to announce “Making the Cut” Silage day 2013 in conjunction with the Silage Advisory Centre (SilAC) and our sponsors Volac, Kuhn machinery, BPI Minster Films, and DOW Europe.

The event will be held on the Tuesday 12th of March on Stuart and Andrew Yarwood’s dairy farm, Cheshire. Stuarts father was one of the first farmers in the UK to begin making silage many years ago. Stuart will give a talk on his silage practices now and how he ensures he makes silage of the best quality for his animals.

There will also be talks from researchers Dr Davie Davies, Rhun Fychan, and Shirley Heron discussing everything about reducing silage clamp losses, improving bale quality and silage additives.

This will then be followed by hands on demonstrations from Kuhn machinery, BPI Minster Films and DOW Europe.

Registration is now open here. For further information, please call BGS Technical Project Manager, Louise Davison on 07799 377257.
