New patching mixtures launched by Barenbrug

Wednesday, November 10, 2010

Grass breeding company Barenbrug's Grass & Forage Seeds 2011 catalogue, including a new forage patching mixture, will be launched at AgriScot, at Ingliston, Edinburgh on November 17th.

This innovative new mixture, BARForage Patching, is designed to repair damaged and poached areas, says the company. It includes the diploid Italian ryegrass Barelli with Solid, a hybrid ryegrass, and early perennial ryegrass Donard.

The mixture is said to offer fast establishment and an aggressive growth habit that enables it to outcompete seedling weeds. This aims to provide a rapid return to a productive ley and it is suited to overseeding areas damaged or poached by livestock, such as gateways and around troughs.

Stop by stand 127 in the Highland Hall at AgriScot to find out more or to pick up your free copy of the Grass & Forage Seeds 2011 catalogue or phone 01359 272000 or visit to request a copy.
