The Royal Welsh Agricultural Society has awarded Tom Tudor the John Gittins Memorial Award for 2010, for his outstanding contribution to the Welsh sheep industry.

Tom is credited with being one of the most successful and innovative sheep farmer in Wales. In addition to farming sheep at Llanerfyl in Powys, Tom has contributed to a wide range of agricultural organisations. He was one of the founders of the Welsh Mule Sheep Association, served on the Farm Animal Welfare Council, the NFU Welsh Livestock Board, Welsh Lamb Enterprise board, the Wool Marketing Board, has been a director of the Moredun Foundation and many more besides. He is also a long-standing BGS and local grassland society member.
