BGS Regular Events

 
 In 2019 BGS will be holding many of our regular events and activities. Please keep up-to-date through our website calendar, members e-newsletter and social media feeds.

BGS will also be out and about at many of the shows and local events. 

 

Summer Meeting

Three-day study tour, usually in early July, to see the strengths and problems of grassland in a different region each year with visits to grass farms and research institutions.

Conferences

Two or three days on specialist grass and forage topics or targeting particular groups:  The Research Conference series, every second year, welcomes young researchers presenting their first talk or poster. 

Special Interest days

Focused discussions with highly topical and sometimes controversial speakers to challenge your current ways of thinking, e.g Red Clover, Haylage, Horse Grazing.

Farm walks

Visits to leading grassland managers farms to investigate their techniques and share knowledge.
