Spring farm walk on S4C 'Ffermio' programme - Tuesday, May 5, 2015

BGS, RABDF and DairyCo's 'Milking Grass for Profit' spring farm walk, held at Carreg y Llech, Treuddyn near Mold on the 23rd April was the focus of the Welsh farming programme 'Ffermio' last night.

Cornwall Field Day - Wednesday, April 22, 2015

On Tuesday 21st April West Cornwall Grassland Society hosted the annual Cornwall Grassland Society Field Day. Grassland members from across Cornwall made the trip to the most southerly peninsular on the Mainland UK, the Lizard, to visit two interesting and contrasting farms.

Conservation Grazing - Tuesday, February 24, 2015

Earlier this month, more than 150 people attended the Innovation in Conservation Grazing conference in Worcestershire, hosted by Natural England, as Sara Gregson reports.

Conservation grazing is livestock grazing that meets nature conservation objectives. It includes anything from extensive, low intervention schemes that meet the welfare needs of livestock while allowing natural processes to occur, to grazing on improved grassland managed to optimise sward structure for invertebrates, small mammals and birds.
