Dorset Summer Event

Dorset Summer Event

Thursday 18th July 6pm Prompt
by Kind Permission of Clive Farrell - booking required!

Ryewater Nursery
Bishops Down

We have been lucky enough to be allowed a guided tour of Ryewater Nursery by Clive Farrell himself.  Clive has created 100 acres of sensitively managed outdoor habitat comprising hay meadows, woodland, lakes and chalk banks where native butterflies live, breed and hibernate, as well as tropical butterfly houses at his home near Sherborne.

The site houses the worlds largest ‘R’ etched into the landscape in ditches and banks (in honor of his wife), as well as a ‘S’ shaped lake for his daughter. This will be an hugely interesting tour of somewhere not many get to visit – and Clive hopes to show all of us a small something we could be doing on our own farms, or in our gardens to help wildlife, and especially butterflies thrive.

After our tour Clive will be joining us for a carvery dinner at The Rose and Crown Longburton.

Numbers are limited to 40 for this event so please email me to confirm your attendance , the price is to be confirmed but will be no more than £20 per person including the two course dinner.

If you are unable to email then please contact me on 07912 649 503 to confirm your attendance.
