Germinal Farm Walk – Low input beef system

Julian and Rob Bowers are hosting a farm walk with Germinal on Tuesday 23rd May. The brothers have developed a low input beef finishing system, taking calves from dairy farms, rotationally grazing on Countryside Stewardship GS4 Legume and Herb Rich swards and bringing them up to finishing weights on home-grown forage and crimped grains. There will be an opportunity to discuss the entire farming system, including min-til establishment methods, grazing GS4 swards to comply with regulations, low input cereals, soil health and livestock performance.
