Research Meetings

Research Conferences and Winter Meetings

The Research Conference is a two or three day meeting on specialist grass and forage topics or targeting particular groups.  Generally, the programme consists of offered papers presenting original research on any aspect of grassland and forage production and utilisation.  However, BGS can hold the conference around a specific theme if preferred. Proceedings of all the previous Research Meetings are available to BGS members via the Members Area of the this website.

Winter Meetings are one-day events generally held in November.  A theme is chosen and, as well as invited speakers, a call for papers is issued to enable other researchers to present their work.  Proceedings of the last two Winter Meetings are available to BGS members via the Members Area of this website.

Papers from young researchers presenting their first talk or poster are welcome at both the Research Conferences and the Winter Meetings.
