Wednesday 12 July at 7pm
Visit to Wick Court, Overton Lane, Arlingham, Gloucester GL2 7JJ
We hope you will be able to join us for a relaxed evening at Wick Court. Wick Court is one of the Farms for City Children farms, a charity enabling children from disadvantaged communities to experience the adventure of working together on our farms in the heart of the British countryside. Wick Court is an impressive Elizabethan moated property once used as a hunting lodge by the nearby Lords of Berkeley and rumoured to have hosted Elizabeth I. The majestic house looks out across idyllic pastures to the reed beds of the River Severn – a view that has changed little since the first recorded farmstead stood on this land in the middle ages. Our chair David Merrett has arranged for us to visit the house and farm and our lovely treasurer Andrea is going to kindly rustle up some grub – hog roast, salad and pudding.
We are very grateful to Parson Farm Supplies who are kindly providing some sponsorship for the hog roast. Please BYO drink/evening tipple.
Please either reply to this email or text me (07941 653012) by 8th July with your name, how many are coming and any dietary requests/allergies to ensure we know numbers for catering, thank you.
