2025
The 81st BGS Annual General Meeting will take place at the Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Sciences (IBERS), Plas Gogerddan, Aberystwyth SY23 3EB on Wednesday 9th July 2025.
The meeting is open to all BGS Members, Local Grassland Society Members, BGS Corporate Members and hosting organisations.
The agenda will be as follows:
- 10.30am – 10.45am Meet at IBERS (light refreshments)
- 10.45am – 12.15pm Tour 1 (IBERS Introduction and Research)
- 12.15pm – 12.45pm Lunch break
- 1:00pm – 1:50pm 81st BGS AGM (Hybrid session – participants can join online if unable to travel to IBERS.
- 2:00pm – 3.30pm Tour 2 (Germinal Horizon Research, Grasses and Forage Legumes)
- 3:45 Close
Members unable to travel to IBERS will be able to join the AGM virtually between 1:00pm and 1:50pm through Microsoft Teams. Please select the online ticket and you will be issued with the appropriate documents and a meeting link for you to take part. These will be sent to you by email on Monday 7th July ahead of the meeting on Wednesday 9th July.

2024
The 80th BGS Annual General Meeting took place at Rothamsted Research North Wyke on Thursday 18th July 2024.
2023
The 79th BGS AGM took place as part of the BGS Summer Meeting in North Wales on 27 June.
2022
The 78th BGS AGM was held on 28 June 2022 at AFBI Hillsborough, Northern Ireland as part of the 2022 Summer Meeting. A number of members also joined online.
