New dairy entrant Morgan started milking in Spring 2020 with a new rotary parlour and milks 400 Jersey Friesians on a spring block system. Previously, Morgan’s late father Richard was FW Beef Farmer of the Year 2016

Milking 1500 cows on two sites as well as running a significant contracting business. The cows are milked on high input system and are achieving elite levels of performance

16.00 Brongain Farms, Llanfechain, Powys, SY22 6UF
This is the beef rearing unit owned by Greg Pickstock where they rear 1500 Beef x Dairy calves. This unit has set itself an ambition to be zero emissions and are working on several research projects to achieve this.

20.00 Arrive back at Nantwich Farm Vets

Cost per person will be £30 which includes coach travel and refreshments.
