Precision livestock farming and sensing technology in extensive grassland systems
BSAS Global, EAAP PLF study commission and the Stapledon Memorial Trust are presenting two webinars examining the role of Precision Livestock Farming (PLF) techniques and novel sensing technologies in extensive systems.
Webinar 1: Tuesday 17 November 2020 (17:00 – 18:30, UK time)
This webinar will cover the current position, with presentations on the use of PLF and sensing technologies in Europe, Australasia, Africa and the Americas.
Webinar 2: Thursday 19 November 2020 (17:00 – 18:30 UK time)
The future potential of PLF and sensing technologies in extensive systems will be examined. Studies will also be presented by companies developing systems of sensing, communication and storage of data and transfer of relevant information to producers and policy makers.
Each webinar will consist of short presentations with the ability to ask questions and make points on chat. These will be discussed in a final session.
